ABOUT RESEARCH AT STAVROPOL BRANCH OF RANEPA
The Stavropol branch of RANEPA research objective is to make significant contribution to society – regionally, nationally and internationally – through the fruits of its research.
The innovative and research potential of the branch is constantly increasing. At the Stavropol branch of RANEPA 5 scientific areas are developed. Each year the branch holds about 20 scientific events (conferences, seminars, round-table discussions) of the regional, All-Russian and international levels.
Stavropol branch of RANEPA is also a major provider of consulting services to development projects and programs launched by the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and Government of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus.
Research activities of the branch are concentrated at 6 academic departments which have their own scientific directions.

Research carried out by RANEPA Stavropol branch’s staff, students and alumni has made an enormous impact on the social life of the North-Caucasus region over the years. These range from impact on culture, business and policy to peacemaking initiatives. The impact of some research is evident immediately, whereas in other cases it can take years, or even decades, before the true value will become apparent. Thus, branch’s research and analytical activities aimed at solution of social problems and challenges in the region resulted in several international roundtable discussions with participation of authority representatives and guests from abroad. An example of this is the international round table discussion “Search of alternative for conflicting sides” which has attracted a lot of attention from public, government and non-government organizations, mass media and representatives of neighboring countries.
Stavropol branch of RANEPA academic staff are continually striving to introduce innovations into education and research and that will have a long-term impact and be up to the challenges of the future.
